Cold storage warehouses present three particularities. They have negative temperatures e.g. up to -30°C and zones containing racks installed in narrow aisles. These areas are not always used on a regular basis. The nature of these storage areas means they require special lighting solutions. The luminaires must be able to provide a stable luminous flux even at very low temperatures. They must be long and narrow in order to emit a luminous flux suitable for rack zones and be strong enough to allow fork-lift operators to safely see – vertically and horizontally – the goods. Infrequent access to certain zones makes installing a lighting regulation system, which emits a luminous flux as and when required, a good idea.
